Herbert J. Conrad
Former President, Roche Pharmaceuticals U.S.

Mr. Conrad was a director of Celldex since March 2004. Mr. Conrad was the former president of Roche Pharmaceuticals in the United States until 1993. He served as chairman of the board of directors of GenVec, Inc. from 1996 to 2003, where he was the Chief Executive Officer from September 1996 to December 1996. He is on the board of directors of Sapphire Therapeutics. He is a co-founder and former member of the board of directors of Reliant Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Conrad has served on the boards of Dura, UroCor, Sicor, GenVec, and Bone Care International. Mr. Conrad has been a member of the board of directors of Savient Pharmaceuticals since 1994. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees from Brooklyn College of Pharmacy and an honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from Long Island University.
